To achieve those cute, juicy and bounce natural hair twists, you’ll need the following products.
Best products for natural hair twists.
Pre-shampoo treatment
Pre-poo or Pre-shampoo treatment is done to minimize the stripping effect of shampoo? Is this step really necessary? That depends on your hair, if your hair tends to feel brittle and dry after cleansing, consider applying a pre shampoo treatment before cleansing. If your hair feels oily with product build-up you may skip this step, I don’t see why add more products on already oily products. To find out if pre-shampoo is for you, try it out. You can either use an oil of choice, conditioner or buy a pre-shampoo treatment.

Shampoo.
When installing a long term style, you ought to start with clean hair and scalp, that’s where the shampoo comes in. If you have hair that’s prone to build up or use a lot of styling products, you might want to use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the build up. For those who don’t experience build-up, gentle cleansers will be perfect for you.
Shampoo your hair and scalp to get rid of oils, products, dirt and use your fingers or scalp massager to break down the build up and get rid of dead skin. Rinse thouroughly to remove all the dirt and products.

Deep conditioner.
Deep conditioning is that other step you shouldn’t skip. Deep conditioners restore moisture lost after shampooing, they also help repair hair damage, reconstruct the broken protein bonds, restore elasticity and strengthen the hair minimizing breakage.
We have moisturizing deep conditioners and protein deep conditioners that are important for healthy hair. After rinsing off the shampoo, apply your go to deep conditioner, let it sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off.

Leave-in Conditioner
The next step is moisturizing your hair, I prefer moisturizing immediately after rinsing off the deep condition. I let my microfiber towel absorb excess water until my hair is damp then apply the leave-in conditioner, braid the hair to stretch it and air dry. You can choose to moisturize right after rinsing off the deep conditioner or stretch and air dry then apply the leave-in conditioner.
If your go to leave-in conditioner moisturizes and defines your curls, the next product you need before installing natural hair twists is a moisture sealant, either a butter or an oil. If your leave-in conditioner doesn’t give the definition you want, consider using a curling cream.
My go to leave-in for natural hair twists is African pride moisture miracle coconut oil and baobab oil leave-in conditioner which gives the hydration and curl definition.

African Pride Moisture Miracle Coconut Oil & Baobab Oil Leave-In Hair Cream
Curl Creams/ Twisting Creams.
These will give you the definition and give natural hair twists the hold so they don’t unravel. Apply curl creams when installing your twists for definition. Personally, I don’t use curl creams because my go to leave-in defines my curls. Choose a lightweight curl cream that doesn’t weigh down your hair or leave your twists feeling greasy.

Love slaying those edges, how about you get yourself edge control for that. Look for an edge control that will give a long lasting hold without causing build up and flaking. Use an edge control brush to achieve the sleek edges.

Oils & Butters
If you experience dry scalp, you’ll need oils to manage that. You can’t afford dry and itchy scalp. Apply an oil then give your scalp the relaxing and growth stimulating massages. Also, you can use oils and butters to lock in the moisture in your natural hair twists after applying leave-in and curl cream.
