Wash day new experience.

Earlier today was my wash day and a naturalista got curious and adventurous.

Heeyyah mane embracers, how’re y’all holding up? Thank you for stopping by and welcome to my natural hair blog.

All about the New wash day experience

Had a new wash day experience today and felt I should share with y’all because I love and value you so much. I switched up from using an instant conditioner for prepoo to using a mixture of olive and castor oil this year because am reducing the number of products I use on my hair. My thinking is too many products on my hair equals exposure to lots of chemicals, how did I get to that conclusion? I have no idea lol.

Back to my new experience, I used my moisturizer (water+leave-in) for my pre-poo. My adventurous self thought, “if the moisturizer makes my hair soft & gives a little slip, how about I use it as my prepoo and detangler as well”

That worked out better than I anticipated the detangling process was smooth and after cleansing, my hair was super soft and had the “super moisturized” kind of feel. I have never been this excited and am here typing as I figure out if I really need to deep condition.

I would love to know if any one of you has used a moisturizer as a pre-poo or detangler or both and if you did, how did your hair feel/workout. If you haven’t tried it I would encourage you to try and let me know how that worked for you. For wash day essentials I got you here.
